Chennai Rainbow Film Festival 2014
Greetings from Chennai Dost!
Chennai Dost is organizing Chennai Rainbow (LGBT) Film Festival 2014 and Art Expo in June in India. Chennai Dost invites Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) themed short-films, documentaries, feature-length films, paintings and photographs based on the theme “Expressions”.
After our successful film festivals in 2012 (partnered with Orinam) and 2013 (partnered with AFM), Chennai Rainbow Film Festival 2014 will continue to be one of the most popular film festivals in India. Last year we have screened more than 45 Indian and International films based on LGBT theme. We had more than 1000 people attended the event including several mainstream artists from film industry.
Chennai Rainbow Film Festival aims to reach a wide spectrum of audience, unshackling the class difference and providing a platform where everyone can come together with pride sans prejudice to celebrate diversity.
The team religiously works to handpick the best of works from around the globe, especially catering to the diverse audience making sure to bring out components that LGBT members, their families, friends, colleagues can relate to.
Your film submissions will be reviewed by a panel and you will be notified about your selection accordingly. On the final day of the Film Festival, the panel would announce the winners under each category, respectively and the winners would be awarded a memento and a cash prize.
This year, CRFF 2014 inviting films and documentaries for our Special categories themed Gender violence and Section 377. Special awards and cash prizes will be given to the selected films and documentaries for screening.
Acceptance of submissions closes by 10th April 2014.
