Does a DVD that was burned from an MP4 file play on as many different DVD players as a DVD that was burned from an mpeg-2 file? I thought somebody told me that Mpeg2 is more favored for creating a dvd, as it is playable on more, on a wider range of different machines than MP4. Is there any truth to this? I find it very confusing.. any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

If you put an MP4 file into your editor to make a DVD from it, your editor is going to automatically convert your MP4 file into mpeg-2 to make a playable DVD.
