Hello, I am a developing screenwriter from the north of England and I am thrilled to find such a vibrant independent film community in one place on the Internet. I think the presence of this community is vitally important to the continuation and success of the independent sector during this period of financial hardship and cultural bowdlerization through arts cuts and the criminal atrocity of the UK Film Council's abolition.
I started out writing long (too long) stories and plot outlines but cinema has drawn me in with great wonder and zeal. I'm currently completing a script for a film to be produced with a friend locally set in the late 1980s and utilizing faux-documentary stylization and period emulating production film.
