Lights from Home Depot

I hear many people on here talk about using cheap lights you can buy at Home Depot or a hardware store. Can anyone tell me what lights in general they are refering to? Thanks guys

I think that they're just called "clamp lights". It's a standard light socket with an attached
reflective hood that's about a foot in diameter. It has rubber covered squeeze clamps that
allows you to attach it to furniture or whatever. They also come with a 6-inch reflector if you
need a smaller model. Both will use 60-watt household bulbs. The lights cost about $6.98
I have about 6 or 8 of these in my homemade "light kit". They are great in close quarters
where you don't have room for c-stands or anything else on the floor. (You can partially open a closet door and clamp it over the top of the door too).
