CASTING CALL (Short Film, Toronto)

"EXISTENCE": A boy's journey through his father's memories to discover the truth behind his father's death, while dealing with life-threatening problems amidst a secluded world.

Patrick Y. Lee - Upper Canada College Film Program Award Winner. Recent film selected as "OFFICIAL SELECTION" in Toronto International Film Festival, Westport Youth Film Festival, and others (Trailer: http://vimeo.com/38826404).

Strong potential for festivals and a great opportunity for students and those who like to expand their portfolio.

Auditions are Saturday, July 28th. Shoot dates start in mid/late August and CAN STRETCH to early September: 4-6 day shoot. Meals, credit, and a finished DVD will be offered to all actors and crew.

Noah (11-15) - Lead Character - The protagonist, Noah, tries to find the truth behind his father's death. He is independent and keeps to himself yet occasionally seeks adventure. Needs to be mature & innocent.

Owen Colt (18-45) - Supporting Character - The supporting role, Owen Colt, is an intelligent and curious man who guides Noah through a world he co-invented.

Isaac (21-50) - Secondary Supporting Character - Isaac transforms into a corrupt, mentally flawed father, gradually being sucked into his own creation. He attempts to bring his own son with him.

Julie (25-60) - Antagonist - Female role, Julie holds a key plot point in the film yet to be explained. Needs to look mysterious and daunting.
