It is very specific to the festival. You need to call or go and find out, some festivals won't take anything on tape, some won't even take DVD, some will take VHS, it just depends.

VHS? DVD?

Sometimes you can send stuff in on VHS just for the preliminary stages, selection process stuff... but the general rule of thumb is that the higher the profile of the festival the higher the quality of the film submittion. But like I say, for some festivals VHS for selection stage is acceptable! Rad.

Yes, most all accept vhs submissions, and most prefer it so there are no complications with dvd's.
