Offering co-production financing for a producer with a film project ready to go.
We are looking for an independent film producer to collaborate with, who has a developed script, a director, principal actors, both lead and and potential main supports, all attached, and all with some credentials, verifiable on the likes of imdb.com, with at least letters of intent, and with potential financing to support these elements. What we have to offer is potential European financing upto $1-2M to add to the budget for filming below-the-line costs, in effect, a negative pickup budget.
The proviso is that the project should fit the following criteria:- It is to be filmed in a specific eastern european city location, either exteriors, interiors and/or sound stages or combination of all. We have access to and deals to facilitate all this, and as far as exteriors are concerned there is scope for art direction to fit the needs of the script.
We are looking for stylish thriller's in the vain of Layer Cake or dark comedies similar to Snatch, or Lock Stock, or most likely in the horror genre, or even WWII project.
This co-production is ideal for an independent producer who has got the elements together and the financing together to support these elements (which may only be a few $100k), but requires a further $1M - $2M for some pre-production and the actual production budget requirement. It would also be desirable if there are potential distribution deals in the works, although not essential. Equity share for the main partners involved, can be ironed out in a fair and equitable way.
