Seems like they're doing everything right in making and marketing this.

The only thing is, I hope it's real 3D. Realorfake3D.com says it may be fake.
 
They shot 2D and upconverted.

Joss Whedon cast James Spader. It doesn't hurt that he has been friends with Robert Downey Jr. for over 30 years since he gets a lot of say over who gets cast.
