Hola all,

Does anybody have any suggestions for how to fake simple popup windows on a computer monitor?

What I want to do is just have a virus warning popup on the monitor and film that happening. I've got the graphic made in Photoshop but I can't get the image file to popup without having some image viewer's border and menu bar showing up around it.

If I could just get the graphic on its own that'd be great.

Make a simple fullscreen flash animation, consisting of a copy of your desktop (as background) and the graphic you made. You can run that, while shooting the monitor (check hz).



Or, if you will be centered close up on the monitor, you could just use the plastic edges of the monitor as the edges of a mask. You could even do that in your NLE, without too much special.

If it's a wider shot that might look a little dodgey, though.
