Places in NYC to meet film makers, actors etc..?

is there any place in NYC to meet people in film industry? Im there only for 7 weeks (in 2 weeks) for the first time in Sates, and would love to meet new people and network and maybe who knows what future holds :cool:

Is there a film cafe or... once a week film meeting group/event or something like that?

Or should I star one myself? :P

I contacted James Franco and Woody Allen but they don't reply :(
