I am a part of a feature film project that is set to begin shooting in January 2014. Right now, we are looking for ways to help get the word out for the crowd-sourcing and open casting call. The best part about this project is that any one can contact the filmmakers to try out for a role in the film. Since it is being shot in the Midwest (Wisconsin to be exact), most people won't have to travel very far. I'm posting the info, so anyone interested can check it out. The script is truly a page-turner! Some of the things that the killer "Clayton" does to his victims is disturbing. That is what makes this film really stand out as the killer isn't your run-of-the-mill nut case with a fixation on the usual MO (ie: dead family member, long lost love or some stereotypical hapless whimpering female victim) The protagonists, a group of young teens, (including the stunning Lilah Rae Swanson, in her debut acting role) fresh out of high school aren't written in the same formulaic way either, they actually think on their feet for a change and don't disappear into the same old story arc mechanisms. Director Reuben James (RJ) is also the writer, lead special FX artist and is slated to edit the final film and so far his work shows a "dark and edgy" style that is reminiscent of David Fincher and Tony Scott, with his preference in closeups and thick atmospheric ROF setups. He trains all of his actors in the art of method and is truly intense, but really knows his craft. There's genius in his method.
