VIDEODROME

LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH!!!!

...uh, yeah, one of my favorites. I love the whole cyberpunk/body horror thing, and that's definitely one of the best.

True story: when I was very small, I saw a television advert for it, and remembered the gun pushing out of the TV. Absolutely terrified me! Had no idea what the movie was for years, but was dying to see it. Oddly enough, I first saw it not long after I had moved to Pittsburgh!

Addendum: follow this up with Tetsuo: The Iron Man. And of course, more Cronenburg (eXistenz should be next, if you haven't seen it). And if you REALLY have a taste for this sort of film, a strong stomach, and a tolerance/taste for a bit of schlock, Tokyo Gore Police was enjoyable (and exactly what it says on the tin)

One of my all time favorites. Turned me into a Cronenberg junkie.

I had seen and loved "Shivers", really took notice with "The Brood"
and was blown away by "Scanners". Videodrome turned me into a
die hard fan.
