Thoughts on a short!

I've just commenced production on my first "real" short film! It's looking to be about 15 minutes long. It's a cast and crew of all friends, but the two cast member are acting majors, so hopefully I have slightly-better than average acting for an indie film.

I just wanted to say that making a shot list has been the greatest time saver for shooting. In the past, I would just go out and completely wing it...kinda picking angles as I went along. Planning ahead has saved me so much time! It also helps when I'm editing the dailies.

The locations we shot at are all guerilla lol, so we've had a couple of curious bystanders watching us in action, but we haven't run into any problems yet. There aren't any gunplay or violence in the film so they don't really have anything worrying them.

It's shaping up to be a lot of fun! I'll keep you guys updated on how it progresses along.
