Question about using Premiere Pro and exporting.

My harddrive is full so I got an external harddrive. I would like to export some video and audio files off of Premiere, to the external. But Premiere will not let me. When I click export and then click media, it tells me that it will export it to my desktop. This option is not click-able, so I do not know how to tell the program where to export and cannot find away around this.

Is it possible to tell it to export somewhere else, cause I cannot find any info on this non click-able problem.

Thanks.

once the export settings window pops up click the underlined "text" next to the "Output Name" ...this will pop up the typical "save as" box for you system from there just save like you would any file in any program..

TIP: Dont give the final file name an extension, the software will add the right one anyway...

Also, you'll want to export to your fastest drive and THEN copy the file to your external drive. Rendering to an external drive might be much slower...
