Can anybody tell me how to pick the best frequency on these based on location. All you can do is go up and down with the channels. You have to set the channel yourself....there's no digital scan. Thanks!

Every location will have different potential RF issues. Without the ability to scan for clean frequencies, you're stuck with trial and error - which involves scouting, if possible.
In any case, you should try to find a happy medium frequency that works more often than not. With VHF, you'll get everything from the Burger King drive through to ghost TV audio.
Thanks guys. It's UHF. I guess all I can do is the guess and check. That's what I've been doing.
