watch Shortfilm: MindGames-Imaginary Warfare

just being honest... but dont take this the wrong way... i hate it...

no really it was bad...

hahahahahahahahah just kidding...

seriously... this wasnt that bad at all... the only issue i have with it is the camera equipment... invest in a cheap stabilizer... ie some weights at the bottom of a poll to mount your camera on so it acts as balancer for your shots...

check this video out and see what i am talking about... it will make for more fluid movements

(if you can get over how annoying this guy is... its worth the watch about half way in)

or even set up a few of the moving shots like this for a more dramatic flow

right on... sorry... i get bored some times...

it was a little long in the middle... but i get that you were trying to build tension... but with the amount of shake that was happening with the camera... you loose the audience...

imagine this... watch a movie... if it seems like its really really good... stop and think about it... is it really that good... or is that the visuals are soo good that i forget the fact that its just the same ole story some one else has already told but with a different theme...

if your confused at what i am saying... think of the movie avatar... that movie ... as we all know is nothing more than Pocahontas... its about the white man (almost literally in this movie) coming over and taking land from the natives ... for some sort of riches... ie unubtainium... or in Pocahontas... its land and gold... or what ever...

so its not a new story at all... BUT... the movie was so fluid and well shot and there was never a moment were you could see the transitions between shots as a mistake... because there were no mistakes...

now with your own home footage... that same thing is possible... completely... just take more time with it... be patient... use a stabilizer... use a jib... build one out of wood... try and make a track and dolly... make it fluid... make it flow...

if that doesnt help... then do what they did for cloverfield... and swear up and down that you wanted to make it artsy... even if it does make the audience throw up... hahahahahahahahahah ... just remember... if it doesnt seem smooth to you... unless your on a dead line... take the shot again... who cares... do it over and over again...

sorry im rambling.... its 7 am here in japan... which means i have been up for almost a full day...

so im out
