A good setting description

What’s a good setting description? In my opinion, something like this is very important. Particularly, when it’s important or a new place. But how can you avoid a bad one?
To find out what’s good and what’s an absolutely don’ts I wrote an example:

Int. Sushi bar “taste space” – Evening

The whole restaurant is just a huge room. The bar looks as if it were from a futuristic science fiction movie.—Almost clichéd. It has a very high-tech atmosphere. Instead of cooks robots serve the customers. Blue, white and green colored lights illuminate the room.

"The whole restaurant is just a huge room?" I don't like the wording of your paragraph. The setting would be alright if you explained it better and tried writing in the present tense.
