I don't want to point fingers doing research about which festival to enter, I came across this festival and it just seemed dodgy to me. So I started to dig around and waited for this festival to finish. The Winners announced, but I cant find the winning films anywhere. Here are my reasons that I think this [Access Code Short Film Festival] is just a pure scam:
Hi, I just wanted to point out that a festival called "Access Code short film festival" is a scam.
Here is my reasoning for believing so.
1. none of the winning films exist. I tried finding Canyon Battle, Clean my Wounds or Murder style none have any related findings on Google, past festivals or IMDB.
This is important as some of the films that have entered the Festival like "Lapsus" have been extremely successful at the lower end of the Festival.
2. Their Website is blog page created in 2013, which shows no previous winners or no names of any of the writers or directors. No photo's or any other details. On their Blog "About Us" page They title themselves like this: "Access Code Entertainment is a movie production house, producing short films, animation short films and documentaries" and list their most successful movies that have won other festivals.
3. Festival dates. FilmFreeway has the dates 13-15 of June

FestHome has their dates set as 29-31 dec 2014

4. Their Facebook Page is the Access Code Entertainment. Categorized as a Studio, and all of their posts are about the movies that they make. There is nothing about their so called Festival.
