Yep. The noise from a super8 camera has always been a problem. But filmmakers are a resourceful bunch. Thus the blimp, or barney.

Just another bit of info, Super 8 SOUND cameras are suppose to be more quite than the SILENT cameras. When they made sound film for the SOUND cameras they knew people would be using this and they tried to make the SOUND cameras more quite. I have found this to be true with the cameras I have around here. But a blimp/barney is always good thing to have on any camera if your planning on shooting sound.

The Elmo 1013 SXL is extremely quiet.Almost self blimped,could get away with it in most indoor locations.Wouldn't take much to make it studio quiet.
