I stumbled upon this forum today, and after reading some discussions and watching a few shorts in the "screening room", I most enthusiastically registered to partake in what seems like a fine and thriving filmmakers community.
I'm a writer director based in Norway, but I spend almost half my time in Japan, and it is in there I've earned most of my movie making experience.
A graduate of Teesside University from 2010, I'm fairly green as a writer and director, but I've had my share of related experience through my course, which focused on computer animation and visual effects for film.
I have some experience as a writer, visual effects artist, and to my shock and surprise I've also found myself a couple of times in the complicated world of the DP. I've also directed a couple of short films, although I have yet to be screened at any film festivals.
Last year I had the pleasure of walking with a lot of fine professionals in Kyoto, Japan, and I'm currently trying to get a job over there.
I'm a young filmmaker with a lot to learn. Although I mainly focus writing and directing, I'm interested in trying my hand at almost everything related to the craft. Looking forward to discussing film and filmmaking with you all!
