My first post on this board!

Howdy all, I've enjoyed lurking for the past few months, but I'm finally coming out of the woodwork to say hello. My name's Steve, I'm a composer living in San Francisco (probably moving down to LA in the next year or so). My training is heavily classical, but I finished my first feature-length film last year and am looking to do more!

Here are some links to stuff I've done:

Here's the trailer to my first feature-length movie, "Voyeur," directed by Pete Anderson (now showing in the "On the lot" site).

Here's a cue for an emotional, turbulent, brooding moment. For piano and strings, called "Dark piano."

Another cue here, "To whom my heart belongs" for string orchestra, in the more formal symphonic tradition:

A fantasy/magic cue, "Hubert's dream," which is written in a more playful mood:

Lastly, an epic, elegy-type cue: "Fanfare and remembrance," for full orchestra. The opening is blazing brass, followed by a distant horn melody with a male choir of humming voices behind it. The big picture sound.

Anyway, hope you enjoy listening/watching, and I'd love to hear about some interesting projects out there!

Good luck in all your work, everyone,
Steve Main

Thanks so much!

So, what do composers do on this board to connect with film-makers and share ideas? I'm chompin' at the bit!
