What gift do you remember as...

Tis the season and since quite a few of us are waiting for word on our scripts, I thought I'd go ahead ask...

What gift (doesn't have to be Christmas) do you remember being:


A. Something you didn't ask for

and

B. You were very happy to recieve it?


I'll start. I was 10. There was a gift from my older brother. He went with mom the whole summer to garage sales and bought up all the Legos he could find. He stashed this treasure from me for eight maybe nine months. Then sometime during Christmas week he wrapped it and put it under the tree for me. I never knew. My mom was so proud of him and I was astonished. Best gift ever.

Good story. I love Legos

It was ten years ago - I had just lost my best friend from high school and it was a pretty rough year. An employee that worked for me had heard that I lost a necklace that had sentimental value. I was astonished to find out that for Christmas she had bought me a replacement and it really made my day and year.
