Ink Inc. Tattoo Web Series

Hey Folks-

I got asked to make a web series for a local tattoo shop and it got weird. Its a little Miami Ink a little Parks and Rec. It is all weird.







All episodes can be seen on www.inkincshow.com you can watch them individually, or combined (available on the binge watch page)

My only critique would be, the intro looks like reality and then you realize it's a comedy/parody as soon as the first actor speaks. I would like the opening to portray that this is a comedy/parody. But VERY well done!

Thanks for the feedback. It was actually really hard working with so many non actors and I love the Mt. Rushmore scene, its so weird.

Nice job! For non-actors they all come off pretty good for the most part.
Do you think that's just natural ability or did they need a lot of direction & takes?

Over the course of 5x10 minute episodes the only bit that took more than 3 takes was a gag that had a lot of timing/physical comedy that happens in episode 3. Only 3 of the tattooers are not actors. Apprentice and Val are both actors.

I think tattooers have to put on a client face everyday, so that certainly benefited us. However, the format covers us too. I coached them a lot, we did rehearse and to their credit, they spent time when I wasn't there practicing their lines.

Thanks for watching, it is such a weird little project and Im really proud how it develops as the characters start to tire of having cameras in their faces.
