Australia NTSC or PAL?

Hey I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of format is used in Australia? Is it NTSC, or PAL?

Another questions, has anyone used both of these formats, and what are the benefits of the two? I wonder if this world will ever have a simple standard. . .hehehe.

AU & NZ use PAL

They also have more horizontal lines on a regular tv, compared to America. Forgot what the numbers are, though.

North America uses NTSC
France uses SECAM
The rest of the world - PAL

And hopefully, all of the world will soon be one (HDTV)

False.

For example, Japan uses NTSC, as any gamer would know.

No offense, but as an admin/founder, you should give more accurate information, as people are more likely to trust you than others.

Here's an ACCURATE map of different encoding systems:

You pity people with roughly 17% faster games (original speed) than us? Ok.

The fact that this showed up in a search for whether a PAL game would have 60 Hz mode and offered false information.

I think the somewhat "tongue in the cheek" name gives away that this is partly trolling, but mainly I just wanted to correct the admin to make sure anyone who might get lost on this forum while searching for accurate information isn't misinformed by his lack of knowledge.
