Composer Wanted

I am, as the title says, looking for a composer for a short film. It's going to be at max 12 mins in length, nothing to big. I'm looking for a "pro-bono" offer, for someone who just wants to start working/get their name out. I'm not looking for a paid professional, but solid composing skills nonetheless. Shooting starts in Two weeks, and I can send rough edit in 3, depending on how you want to work it. Let me know fellas!

Can you tell us more about the film? Genre, etc...
Do you have a demo reel we could see?

I ask because I can't imagine any worthwhile composer doing anything for free unless the project would look great in his\her portfolio. That's a fair question, right?

If you need help editing or encoding the film feel free to send me more information on it. I have the full Adobe Suite, Final Cut Pro X and Compressor. I can put the film any format you want. Send me a PM on here for more information and I will do this "pro bono" for you.

Hi there!
I'm new to the forum and this is my first post, but like you say, I'm looking to get my name out there as a composer.
I already have had quite a bit of work for games and other creative media (Youtube videos and the like), but films is the next big one to tackle. I've worked with http://youtube.com/verbalprocessing for example. I also have my own Youtube channel with over 1000 subscribers, many of them loyal fans.

Here are a couple of my tracks demonstrating what I can do. You'll notice I can compose in pretty much any genre except Jazz and Rap since I honestly don't enjoy those at all.

Epic film score/rock

Electronica with film score elements
http://soundcloud.com/metalrenard/collective-memories

If you want more examples of genre-specific tracks then just let me know. I can even sing.

My "trademark" in music is that epic, powerful and emotional feel you'll hear in most of my tracks. I can tone it down of course, but I would say that element is "my voice". I write with my heart and I let the story hidden in every piece of music guide me. Therefore it is only a natural extension of what I do to write music for games, and films.

Also, I feel it is important to note that I'm also a music -producer- so I will not just "throw a bunch of instruments together" and call it a song. I know how to make my work sound professional and of a very high standard.

As for your project, I'd love to find out more about it so if you like what you hear then get in touch and we can chat. I use Skype and MSN too so if you want to voice chat that's fine by me. You can e-mail me at metalrenardmusic@gmail.com .

I look forward to hearing from you!

Hey!
If there is still room to apply for this, I'd certainly like to lend my help. I've been searching everywhere for a composer job, and am totally fine with not getting paid on this. You can certainly trust I'll give the project full dedication. I am currently working on a couple of pieces and can send those as a demo within the next couple days, but until then if you want you can check out my soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/matthewtyler-1

I definitely have some action songs, yet doesn't mean I don't work with slower music. The Violet Forest and In Honor feature some quieter, softer parts.

If you want me to write up a demo piece specifically for the project you are doing, just let me know and I'll be happy to do so.

You can contact me at: mattzzz9@hotmail.com

Thanks : )

Hi,

Yeah I'd be interested as long as the project is something that I'm interested in, and would progress my work portfolio. I'm classically trained and was awarded a first class Masters Degree in Music Composition at University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. I've been working in the music industry for ten years and lecturing music composition for 5, I'm looking to move in soundtracking for tv and film full-time.

Have a listen to some examples of my work and see if my style is what you're looking for. I work mainly in contemporary styles; electronic, modern classical and folk - although having said that I can compose in any style you desire. Bear in mind this music was not composed for film, solely for listening:

Music available

Hi there, would love to work with you if you are still looking for a composer, I appreciate you have already had lots of replies! ....My name is Angela Sharman (soundcloud link:

soundcloud.com/angmuz

One of my solo piano compositions was shortlisted for a New Music prize among five finalists in Denmark, 2010, (you tube link of my performance of this:

youtube.com/watch?v=4NEC1aoLfEY

I try to write emotional melodic music, and everything from solo piano pieces to my flirtation with small orchestras, inbetween being a mum of two young children (which sometimes means me writing music at 3 am!) ...current projects include a student's short film here in the UK, at editing stage, and a piece for piano and small orchestra ...

If you like my style then please feel free to email me at aek777@live.com

Thanks, Angela
