I know there's more than one sci-fi nerd on this forum who owes this man a thanks for kickstarting that imagination into high orbit. There wouldn't have been the Spoiler: butchery of the
classic book "Make Room! Make Room!
" into the film known as "Soylent Green
", without this man.
My personal fave of his was "Bill the Galactic Hero
" and to hell with the terrible sequels!
Another certain forum member was all about "Deathworld
". I hope his dream eventually comes true, and the film gets funded.
At any rate... we've lost another sci-fi giant.
Or maybe he's just faked his death to collect on an insurance scam with 'Slippery' Jim DiGriz
. Who can know for sure?
