Film School
Hey everyone. So after reading everyones comments, I decided that I should go to a film school first. It would help me out a lot and give me connection. So what are some good film schools? Im from Cincinnati and the only one here I can think of is Art Institute, but I dont wanna go there. I looked in The Factory in Pennsylvania, and Vancouver Film School. Any other suggestions? Thanks

You are nearby 2 good film schools - Ohio University and Wright State University. Both schools have consistently shown up on Top Film Schools lists for years. Full Sail is a tech school, but has gained traction.
Just use GOOGLE and look up BEST FILM SCHOOLS...

I was looking into The National Film and Television School in UK. I was wondering do they accept US citizens?

What's more hands on than a real film graduate school program? Or Full Sail University?

I'm pretty sure (as in 100% sure) that this is what they do at film schools... When I've been a guest lecturer, the students were all using the equipment in a very hands on way and learning at the same time at OU and Wright State.
Did you think Film School was theory and history only?

From what I heard, Chapman is a pretty decent film school.
And yes, The National Film and Television school accepts US citizens.

This is one of the hardest film schools to get in! They only take people who can display very very good films already!

All the good CA film schools are expensive, but besides UCLA, USC, Chapman, Cal Arts, and Loyola Marymount are all well known for having great programs. I'm sure there's more but those are the ones that come to mind.

How MUCH is film school? Paying that kind of money is a risk. I think film school is not worth it. Maybe take a couple of classes and read a book or 3 then move to where ever there's work (most likely Hollywood) and jump in and learn and make connections that way.

Yea I could do that but there is a risk of not making it without a degree or a study of something in film.

I would first talk to as many people in the market that you want to move to or work in. Also watch "THE COLLEGE CONSPIRACY" on YouTube.
