Wow, I had a similar idea for a movie some months ago. The big ship, the forgotten journey... And now I just find out that someone else had the same idea nearly 40 years ago! There REALLY is nothing new under the sun.

Harlan Ellison already had an industry resume as a science fiction writer for television writing episodes for the original The Outer Limits and Star Trek.

The pitch showed how technology would be used to save production money.

The pitch was done by an actor with an industry resume and someone who worked on 2001 A Space Odyssey.

Big TV studios like to hear names they already know.
