TED is just flat-out awesome, yah.

Btw, what is that " vs. Jaws" at about 03:55? (I know the Jaws half)

Overall, a very good look at how people just block things out... but also how the absence is noticed.

Great example of cognitive, too. Choosing to focus.

That's exactly what it is. C'mon Steve, you should be old enough to remember the Beatles. They had one or two songs that were kind of popular in the 60's.

That video is something that poeple working in film, TV and radio should see.
Makes me wont to walk through the local mall and give a listen.

Very interesting... I esp liked the part where he talked about sound relative to branding. Do you have any idea where he got his statistics?

Thank you for the clip...very interesting.

Hey, how do you get videos to embed in the forum here? I've never been able to get that to work. Thanks.

For YouTube vids choose the EMBED link, paste it into your post, highlight the entire line and use the YT wrap on the upper (right next to QT) when you post.

Embed Link:

<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rRepnhXq33s&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rRepnhXq33s&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

YT wrap:
