Feedback on starter sound setup?

Hey folks,

I've been reading and posting here and around other forums looking to start myself off with a dslr audio setup. I'm going to use it for short films. I'm new and I'm learning. I have a hacked Panasonic GH1. Here's what I'm thinking.

Audio Technica at875r shotgun mic
Rode WS6 Windsield
Gitzo GB0330 Weekend Fishpole (boom)
Pearstone DUSM-1 Universal Shock Mount
Tascam dr100 Mark II
-Power Adaptor (not included)

Cost: $423.00 (@B&H)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

More like $475. It's good for a starter kit.

What about some good headphones?

Sony MDR-7506

BTW, as I keep repeating, it's the technique with which you use the gear that gives good sound, not just having the "right" equipment. Who's going to be operating it (setting levels, swinging the boom, etc.)?

Opps! Forgot to include the dr100mkii in the price. It's more like $722! Small detail. Ha!

Don't forget the case and some really good cables, as well.

Are the Pearstone cables sold by B&H good?

My personal choice is ProCo. Whirlwind, Canare and Mogami are other brands I personally favor.
