a story about a robot self conscious about his funny walk, who wants nothing more than to walk like a normal living creature. The robot learns to accept his walk after he journeys across some trechorous path that only his legs could handle.

Okay I see what you're saying, build around the effect rather than make that the strongest thing about the film correct? Plan it as well as possible and then find a skilled artist to fill in the gaps?
