watch "Auzerais" - Official Music Video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5Jb7CfEnws Shot, edited and directed by myself. Tell me what you think in terms of cinematography etc. Lights were very very limited, we used a desk lamp in various positions so please nothing too critical about lighting in the party/fight scene. Any other...

Need advice on drawing viewer emotion for short film

That's good too :) I've changed up the ending a lot. He fails to lucid dream a few times, and at the end.. well here's the rough script: Closes eyes again. REM Sleep again... He sees her, she sees him, they smile at each other They touch hands and embrace He says, "I missed you so much...

Need advice on drawing viewer emotion for short film

That's a really interesting spin too. It changes up the story, and I like it. However my only issue with it is that there's way too many feature films that I've seen where the protagonist can go back in time so he changes the future. If he went back and saved her then it would be too much like...

Need advice on drawing viewer emotion for short film

Brianluce - I would be writing and directing, but I'm quite the amateur, basically a bored kid who wants something to do when music gets repetitive and people get flaky. Just thought I'd ask for some advice; though what you've said certainly does count. Thank you :) Kinglis - Okay, why don't...

Need advice on drawing viewer emotion for short film

John - That's awesome! I might add the element of him trying and not succeeding. Alcove Audio - It's not for commercial use, it's just a personal project for something to do in the summer. Credit will be given etc... I'm not entering it into competitions or anything. I've done this a few times...

Need advice on drawing viewer emotion for short film

I've got a short film idea that I'm writing, and I need some suggestions/advice. The idea is that protagonist wakes up from a dream of a car crash and he googled lucid dreaming. He looks over at a picture of him and a girl -- it's implied throughout that she died in a car accident via short...

watch Home Again :: My second short film...input? :)

hahah very nice :P But 25 dollars spent on a straight jacket for a just-for-fun short is 25 dollars poorly spent. Gas, dinner with my girlfriend, and cell phone bills get priority! But even Briana (the girl in the short) said "Damn, just thinking of this now -- we coulda asked Psycho Donuts!"...

Totally feel you dude. I definitely wrote everything based on what I could do on a budget for example this one, it won't make much sense out of context but the whole story is no dialogue, and i wrote it based on a song so without the song it wont make much sense but here's an example of a story...

Cracker, I truly meant I was hoping for input! haha. I will in the future work on writing more. Alcove, very informative post. But without money, how would I get access to something like a straight jacket? For what it's worth I totally get what you mean, that would've been awesome. That1guyy...

O.K. what about preproduction? I don't even know what that consists of also -- thank you for your time, of course.

I don't feel attacked, sorry if I came off that way. I was simply explaining myself in regards to your critiques. As for actual effort/time... I don't have time and I don't have the money for gear for things like lights and shotgun mics etc. so I'm not familiar with how else to do things thats...

Yes I have a short attention span, if I didn't I would be more focused on one thing. But instead I'm the Student body vice president, a managing editor of the school paper, a 3-instrument multi-album musician, a 2-sport athlete and co-captain of the varsity tennis team... everything I do is all...

Hunteq - I took multiple shots of that final scene...on the PERFECT one (in terms of the pan steadiness and framing).....my hand was covering the microphone and her words were not as sharp. I was pretty mad, and worked with what I had. Otherwise thank you for the input :D! Gonzo, In the future...

Glad you liked it :) Gah, a few of the pan shots were handheld because the last video people said panning was too jerky too That rubber band trick is nuts! I'll soooo try that sometime. The tripod is as loose as it will be, I figured I would oil it...I'll try both! Thanks!

Hey all! I recently posted up Robot-7, my other film, and got a lot of good feedback. I applied it here, I hope! Check out the film I just did, again it was pretty quick. Writing, recording, editing took about 4 and a half hours on this one. Please please please watch it in 720p HD as it looks...
