    Sound Effects Library

I am currently working on a short film about the life of a mime. And the need for sound effects for his mimed actions is required. For example: when the Mime pretend to clean a window, you will hear that "squeeking" noise. I was just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction in...

    NEED CAMERA ADVICE!! $2500 budget

Sorry, you guys are definitely right $200 for mic&boom is unrealistic. I mis-calculated. As for the 7D vs T2i, you're right. I am a photographer and the ergonomics of the 7D is far superior to that of the Rebel. And the images really speak for themselves.

    NEED CAMERA ADVICE!! $2500 budget

I am a HUGE advocate for indie film making with the Canon DSLR system. But for $2500, I really don't think this is a feasible plan. 5D mark II will be roughly a $5000 investment (body, 1 zoom lens, 1 prime, sound equip, tripod) and if you want a follow-focus rig, that's another $800 to $2500...

watch A Journey to the West

Again, thanks for all the kind comments. Nicklaus / Cracker Funk - I wanted to show the extent of the cobbler's love for shoes and not buying any shoes spoke louder than if he did. My team and I actually debated this quite a bit. I think artistically, it spoke more for the cobbler not to buy...

watch A Journey to the West

Thanks for all the generous comments. Firstly, the visual "effects", if you will, is the result of using a 35mm adapter on Sony Handycam. I'm not sold on the results, but it creative a nice feel for the type of short film it was. FlandriaVCF - is it too long or does it feel too long? maybe...

watch A Journey to the West

6min is a tad on the long side. More of a "product-placement-short-story" than a commercial, but you get the point...

watch A Journey to the West

I co-wrote and produced this short/commercial for Nike about 4 years ago. My friends have always told me how "great" it was, but I'd really like some unbiased critic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4wH4C1WjMk Looking forward to hearing from the Forum.

    Canon 5d Lenses?

Personally I think primes are the way to go, unless you are actually using the zoom in a shot, leave those alone. I use old Nikkor lenses on the 5Dmk2. Stunning results. I have a 24/2.0, 35/1.4, 50/1.4, 80/1.8 and 135/2.8. They are not as sharp as the Canon Primes, but it has that dreamy...

watch Epic Canon 5D2 Music Video - SUPERNOVA

Are you secretly JJ Abrams? Lens flares coming out the yinyang :p But joking aside, solid video. A little generic for this type of music, but very well executed. *Thumbs up*

    watch SEXY BIKER CHICK AD

Funny concept, but execution was a little lacking. The added vignetting was a little distracting, really made the picture feel claustrophobic. Directing was also a tad on the clumsy side, you really should've milked the "sex appeal" of the beautiful girl more (afterall it is for godaddy).

    favorite What's your favorite scene???

Been surfing this site for a while now, haven't really had the courage to post much. But this is an interesting thread and I would like to contribute. Here is my favorite scene: Wong Kar-Wai's "In the Mood for Love" I think the mood created by the music and cinematography is simple amazing...
