If he's been 'logging his hours' but he's well over the date he said things would be done by... that doesn't bode well. He's late on this plan, which he's working out the costing for including his payment; are you confident he's not going to be late during actual production and won't be logging...

No idea if you're a Doctor Who fan or not, but check out the recent episode titled "Listen". It's brilliant at creating suspense from very very little.

I think within reason you can do what you want. If you're intending to develop scenes that could be highly negative for their image, then I'd tread cautiously (eg. If it involves nudity etc).

Never use a website to translate your writing. 100% of the time it will be wrong. Your best solution is to hire a translator, or ask friends/family that speak both languages fluently to aid you. Having poor subtitles can really throw off a viewers engagement with the film.

Good read there, and could be turned in to an interesting film, but the lack of "ending" somewhat ruins it.

I can't access the Google Docs file yet, but 85 pages for the introduction of the tsunami hitting, kids getting rescued and heading out to find their family is certainly too much. I'd dare say you should be looking at around 30-40 pages for that part. Being unable to read what you've got I...

I do believe that depending on where you are, if they ask you to stop or not include them in whatever you're making then you must follow their request, otherwise it's "fair game" (as long as it's not depicting them in a negative light).

I think it would perhaps be a wise idea to post up some samples and/or list of past projects so people know what you can do, so as to save them and yourself time?

I know this is a wee bit old, but perhaps you could make it so that the tipper is aware of the sting, but is not privy to the details. Have you... tried going out in to the city, looking up and seeing which buildings would have a good vantage point? (And then seeking out the relative people who can give permission for such a thing?)

As Ray said, keep it simple for everyone else. If you want to write your own copy with descriptives to stimulate your own mind that's fine too, but focus more on the original one and then maybe adjust it for yourself at the appropriate time.

I agree with mcister. The only types of films that can get away with these are the super hyped films that take the viral marketing approach. Yours just leaves me going... eh.
