To the filmmakers, who HATE piracy...

File Sharing or Piracy is very black and white. There's no gray area for either side. Here are what the two sides think. 1 - Anti-Piracy People/Groups ----------------- Piracy is ruining the music and film industry. We pay a lot of money to finish these things and when people give it away for...

    Two places how to word

Thanks that helped a lot :).. I have one other question. If I want for their to be character dialogue through the phone. As if the phone was on speaker mode. Would it be correct to put V.O. or would this not be considered a voice over?

    Two places how to word

In the script I'm writing I'm having a hard time deciding the right way to write this scene. In the scene there are some transitions with a low amount of dialogue between them. (They're talking on phones, one person is in a house, and the other is in a jungle.) I was wondering how I would write...

    Arms On Fire

In this movie one of the characters has the ability to make fire cover his arms. I was looking into VisionLab Studio and After Effects, and I wasn't sure which program would be better for the job. What do you think I should do? Thanks. RR

    Using a Sword

Thanks for all of the info! I plan on talking to someone at a sword shop sometime this week. Hopefully they can give me the final verdict on what I should do. Thanks, RR

    Using a Sword

I looked at wooden swords, but I would need something that looks realistic. Wooden swords look to... wooden even with a good paint job. EDIT: nevermind found out how to make a relatively safe prop sword..

    Using a Sword

I plan to use a sword in a future movie, and I have a question. Are there any swords I can use for props that aren't deadly weapons? I've been looking, but I don't think my keywords where good enough.. I just want to make sure if someone slips the actor doesn't die. Thanks, RR

    What to Do

I think I wasn't specific enough. I ment I was a freshman in High School not a Freshman in College. In the area I live in there aren't a lot of films that take place. (the Pittsburgh Area) and not having a license yet doesn't help not being able to travel to the city. I guess I might have been...

    What to Do

no it's no problem. :) I fully understand what you're talking about. I was kind of planning on doing some shorts with my friends anyway so it all works out in the end. ;) - RR

    What to Do

Currently I am writing a movie that I feel could do rather well at festivals. There is one major problem though. Finding money from other people as a Freshman is rather hard. Most people assume you'll throw it away on something useless. No matter how well spoken you are they jump to conclusions...

Shoot a scene with a person running alongside a plane

You could probably use some small vehicle such as a golf cart and ride along side him while filming. - RR

    A Better Camera

I'll be sure to look into the shotgun mic. I've heard that getting one is way better than using the on camera mic. I'll make sure I buy from a good dealer too :)
