    Equipment "luggage" help needed

Ha ha ha . . . no not really. I mean some kind of zippered case that's long enough and deep enough to fit all that I previously mentioned.

    t2i and h4n production logging

There are several versions of movie slate apps for smart phones too that you can use. It may cost less than getting a slate. I believe the one for the iphone can be sync'd to other iphones and ipads so that all are operating on the same time code for better and faster assembly in post production.

    Equipment "luggage" help needed

I shoot weddings on DSLR, so the amount of stabilizing equipment I need to use is abundant. I have a slew of tripods, a slider, a steadycam and a monopod. I'm looking for something I can put all this stuff into so that when I go from location to location, I don't have to make several trips. Does...

    Best Choice for lens adapters?

We've decided to go with the Sony NEX-VG10. We have seen in demos that they take lens adapters so that Canon L-Series lenses can be attached. Does anyone have a recommendation for which is the best to get? :)

    Sony NEX-VG10

We record a minimum of 4 external audio sources. Converting frame rate in Final Cut hasn't had an effect on audio pitch.

    Sony NEX-VG10

We like the way the conversion looks. It has a soft filmic look.

    Sony NEX-VG10

60i provides more video data. When performing artistic shots that may require a slow motion effect, it looks better when put into Motion rather than trying the same thing shot at 24.

    Sony NEX-VG10

We aim to shoot in 60i and then convert our finished work to 24 fps after everything is done.

    Sony NEX-VG10

My company is getting a video division up and running. We shoot on DSLR cameras because we like how the footage pushed through the EF lenses look. However, we know that there are drawbacks to them too, that being the issue of overheating and limited record time. Therefore we're looking to get a...

That dreamy soft focus look, i.e. Big Fish

I just got finished watching the Tim Burton film Big Fish. I love so much about that movie, and on this most recent rewatch I was taking notice of several night scenes where things are a bit surreal. The characters have this beautiful soft focus look to their faces. Does anyone on this board...

reviews for DLC DL-DV60 light panel?

My boss is looking to get some light panels to use for our DSLR videography and we found this product online. Before we commit to buying two, has anyone here used the DLC DL-DV60 Video & Digital SLR LED Shoe-Mount Camera Light? Here's the link to them...

    SD card question

Is there an optimal SD card format to use when shooting video on a DSLR? If so, can you make recommendations?

Inexpensive with 1080 res and 24fps?

I was looking at the Vivitar Series 1 Deluxe Battery Grip for Canon EOS Rebel T2i. I'm curious; the description says "prolonged shooting time." Does this mean for the video aspect as well? The T2i can get rather warm with the internal battery running. Does the external rig solve this issue...

Thank you everyone for the input. This has been extremely helpful. I know now what to start shopping for.;)

Inexpensive with 1080 res and 24fps?

We have a two-videographer setup paired with a two-photographer setup. Our audio is captured externally on a H4n sound recorder. (The ceremony itself determines whether a wireless lav mic is used or the H4n is just strategically placed to get the best overall.) We are very good at staying out of...
