    Thanks everybody for your kind comments! I might had not express myself clearly. I meant inspiration in a more technical than conceptual way. For example The fully sequence shot God of War or the smooth character transitions from gta v.

    Can I use videogames as a source of filmmaking and cinematography inspiration?

    I realized some games like GTA V or God of War have a very cinematic feel in them. So I wondered; can videogames really be seen as an inspiration for making movies? If so, which ones do you like the most in that aspect? If you don't think so, please tell me why.
