thats funny, i thought this sounded/looked familiar. i read this script on simplyscripts a couple days ago. well done edit. not the same script.. this one is much better

it does a lot more than the focus ring by itself. i doubt the follow focus system will do much more, at the level of skill i am right now. As i get more handy with focusing im sure a follow focus system will make more sense.

i've been learning a whole bunch of things with my t2i. Playing around with the settings to get the best image, understanding aperture, d.o.f etc. One of the things I find rather difficult is keeping the focus on a moving target (follow focus?). I've got a z-finder which is great to get focus...

so i searched on ebay and tried to avoid the usual cheap lookin/advertised/branded ones coming from asia etc.. and wound up with these 5 on my list. I came to ask for some advice from the indietalk gods on which of these looks like it might be decent and hold up until i can get someting better...

Ok so.. from what Ive gathered. The t2i does not monitor HD while recording, so the only reason to purchase , lets say a Marshall monitor (apart from having a bigger screen, SD none the less for recording purposes) would be as an investment for a future upgrade from the t2i. So I was wondering...

when shooting video with a dslr? given i wont be using an external monitor. ex. outdoor shoots etc. I just purchased my first "rig" , and i was wondering if i really must include the z-finder.. given the prices and all. But it wont hurt my pocket to much if i know its a necessity.
