After this weekend, I'm going to get a Canon HV30 or HV40(I don't really know if there is that much of a difference). It's in my budget and i like the quality. I found a couple good priced HV30's and HV40's I think I'll get a DoF adapter on it. I know rik said it was cmos as opposed to 3ccd...

A boom mic will plug into a camera like that? The Panasonic HDC? Or, do i need some sort of adapter? I'm sorry lol I feel like I'm asking dumb questions.

How would you attach a shotgun mic to a camera like that Panasonic HDC?

The kiss x4 is a good idea. Also, Cracker, I would search Ebay, but I don't have a huge knowledge in cameras. All I have ever used is Canon GL1 and XH A1. So, I don't really know what cameras would fall into my budget and are worth the money. Recommendations? I may just have to do some more...
