watch Comedy/Camera test short - Peanut Butter Massacre

Here's a quick short film I did with some friends, my first bit of acting that didnt involve a puppet. We shot it on my friend Matt's new Red Scarlet. We wanted to try out the 48fps with some action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSO-4H2u_gk (I'm the one with the gun) I'm aware it's...

On the coat-tails of the success my crew and I had with Slenderman, which will be released within the next month, we are extremely excited about our latest project; Rendezvous with Death. It's goofy, funny, and going to be really bloody. as in, we have it in the budget GALLONS of stage blood...

"independent contractor" for documentary, how much to charge?

i'm assuming i would be using my gear, a 5d2, a few lenses (by then will include a couple pieces of L glass), a rig, and possibly a stabilizer with arm. i'll quote him $110 a day if i use his or 200 if i use mine.

Shooting a Car with No Car?

A combination of grease pencil, plasti-dip, paper mache, and tempra paint would make a good amount of reversable body damage. Break some tempered glass on the ground then dont show the windows. Deflating the tires wihout moving the car wont damage them.

    hello from missouri!

Well, more self-aware than intelligent I guess. The script isn't finished and I'm not the writer so I can't describe it very well other than it is almost a parody

Lightning kit for dark scenes? (Outside)

You can make a great looking moon light by shining a bright light into a paper or silk white Chinese lantern. Rig it as high and bright as you can and it gives a really cool look.

    hello from missouri!

I'm Jayson, and I'm a grip and effects guy from Missouri. I work with a great crew in St Louis, and we are currently working on two feature films, The Slenderman Movie, and an intelligent hack-and-slash called Rendezvous with Death. I started off as a still photographer, and while I still...
