When I make the purchase for a Panasonic AG-HMC40, that's what it will go on. The camera has hdmi out so I won't have to worry about cable issues. I am curious to ask Panasonic about Field monitors on this model, as Directorik said that's what they are for. I'll post as soon as they reply. John

Ok so I asked about field monitor support and the results were a bit dissapointing due to my budget but, I came across this monitor and it has an attachable battery pack. It's got hdmi and its only about 300 out the door for the lcd and battery. Let me know your thoughts...
