Am I not bossy enough as director?

You need to make sure you outline (and make them understand) before shooting what their job is, and what your job is. And that there should be no crossover. You don't want these 'stylistic' changes, so they shouldn't happen. You want them to do their job, so it should be done. You don't have to...

I wouldn't go with Joyful Division. It sounds cheesy. My vote goes to #1.

Who is Your Favorite Director and Why?

It's a toss-up between Hitchcock and Kubrick. Directors still in action and it's Nolan, hands down - he hasn't made a bad film - but between those two, they're just not really comparable. Hitchcock's better in areas, Kubrick's better in others. They take the top spot together.

How to come up with a studio name?

Yeah, I had seen you explain it to someone before and I thought it was a cool story behind the name, so it came to me as an example : ) Donkey Works is also a cool name/story. I like it.

How to come up with a studio name?

With studio names you can go any of several ways. 1. Make it something that is meaningful to you. An example being 'Alcove Audio' (a user on the site). In that case, it just so happens that what was meaningful to them also sounded very cool. 2. Make it meaningful to the genre you plan to work...

looking for experience with other filmmakers....

Hi Michael. I live in the North of England as well (North Yorkshire) so it's possible that we could collaborate. I'm currently writing a script that I plan to start work on in the summer, I am currently unattached to a DoP, and my current access to shooting equipment is not great, so I would...

Director seeking work with a screenwriter

Hi Jonathon, I'm a semi-experienced screenwriter particularly interested in writing scripts in the thriller/neo-noir genres. I have previously written a script in said genres for another member of the site, who was very pleased with it (reference could be obtained if necessary), and am now very...

So I have decided to make a short....

Sounds good. I'd say try not to stress during creation about making it perfect. Obviously try to do as good a job as you can, but wait until you've finished to poke holes in where you need to improve. Then make it a learning exercise. Good luck!

    Fisheye Lens?

Yep It will fit. It says in the title 'for 37mm digital camcorder', and by checking the specs on the camera's page (Sony), you can see that it says 'Lens/filter diameter: ...37mm'. Hope this helped

    Olympus E-PM1

What was the point of this thread? You've asked people's opinions, they've given them, you've become annoyed and started arguing. What were hoping for?
