Personally, I'd just jump in. The worst that can happen is you'll have to do a bit of extra work. Or, maybe it'll turn out crap. But the point is that you did it. And everything you do makes you that much better. There's no substitute for experience.
I recently got bored, grabbed a camcorder and put this little video together.
I know the image quality and such isn't that great (I used a 6 year old camcorder and nothing else) but would really like some input.
On what? The editing.
I've been teaching myself and it's hard to get an honest...
Myself? As amateur as I am I really liked this piece. For the most part, the edits and such all looked good to me. Sound was great. (Scoring).
A few times it seemed the colors had changed but not to bad.
As for everyone's comments on "What the characters did or their reactions" I wouldn't worry...
No real opinions here. I thought it was another great sketch. Then again, I'm new myself and still learning. Audio is tricky. I'm working on it and every time (I) think it sounds great.... well, it doesn't. I want to keep it up but for any serious projects I may plan I think I'll get a sound...
I liked it. Not sure what to say aside from that. I even laughed a few times.
Only one shot I can think of off hand that seemed way to dark. As for your AME usage I gotta admit some of it looked cheesy, but it fit with the video perfectly. Can't say I'd laugh to much with all the stabbing if it...
Hey everyone. Just wanted to let all you Independent makers of film and videos know there's a site out there that is tooled just for you/us.
The site features a Independent Movie Database, review of independent projects and many more features geared for the Indie film maker.
The sites called...
I liked it. The feeling especially. A little shaky on the pan shots but not bad aside from that. Nice job... and quick as well. I should also add I thought the scoring was great.
HA! Nice job. I liked the ending as well. It would have been much better if you shot it on a farm or something. Kind of give it a 'Redneck' comedy aspect. Especially when it was 'Dinner Time' and the gun gets fired into the air. Very cool stuff.
Eh. I liked it myself. Hows that saying go... It is what it is?
Sure. From the description alone I pretty much summed it up but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. Nice technical work as everyone has said. Good job.
Yes! The trailer looks sharp and polished. I agree with the comments on the sound. My own experience tells me how important it is and shouldn't be overlooked (Like I did). But yours isn't to bad. Overall it looks great and I'd love to check it out in the near future.
