I was talking with a guy a Production Junction in NY today about shooting HDV, when the end product is DVD. He said there's really no point as you'll be downconverting to SD NTSC eventually anyway, thereby losing the HD resolution. Thoughts on this? Is HDV really only good for HD broadcast, or...
