    Occupation
Filmmaker; Day job: well, let's see what I can come up with...
    Biography

    Filmography
Well, as sometimes happens in filmmaking, the big project has now stalled. However, my films are:
6 documentary shorts: "Milligram Smile", "Tension Head", "Silver Atlas"and "Downseed", all behind the scenes for rock bands which I love doing; Bluebird Hill Farm and A Tribute: E. Zipporah Thompson.

I hope to make documentaries fun to watch by telling great stories about fun and interesting people. I don't think documentaries have to be tragic. You can see my "rock docs" at myspace.com/voodoochildrenfilm.

I have one Narrative: "One Last Shot". I only edited, but I thought I did okay for the first time out.

I have one Music Video: "Tension Head". I liked doing the music video and hope to get the opportunity to do more. We'll have to see how it goes. 2-24-09: since then I have done about 3 more basic performance based music videos.
    Awards
None yet. I am still learning, though. Everything I know about filmmaking I picked up as I went along. Since I decided to take this filmmaking journey, I have gotten good advice from people online and in real life. I've never taken a computer class in my life, which is why I have strange holes in my knowledge, but this site has been more help to me in so many ways, I can't even count them. I used to be a PC person, but changed over to Mac to run Final Cut Pro. I think FCP is the best edit system in the world.

June 2008: Guess what! I have an award now!
Riverside Saginaw Film Festival, Best Documentary Film 2008: "Tension Head"
    Favorite Film(s)
    Pulp Fiction
    Favorite Director(s)
Quentin Tarantino/Spike Lee/ Inspiration: Juli Dash
    Other Interests
Music - Rock - Vegas - Travel - Fun people who like films/filmmaking

Thursday:

I got back from my film screening somewhere around 1:30pm. The screening started at 11:00am today. I resigned myself last week to not having anyone show up to this screening. Everyone I know works and I don't know one musician who doesn't have a day job. So, even though my friends from the band wanted to be at the screening, they all had to work. I could hardly fault anyone because of it. It was cool, my mother was there to see it, she was excited.

When I...

My second observation, however, is this: Even with the twist of this film, it was riddled with all the horror movie cliches you could shake a stick at, which is why I HATE HORROR FILMS!

Remember the original SCREAM, when the guy goes through all the horror film cliches to show how whenever someone does this, they die? The fact that the cliche can be parodied, means it is over done. The cliches are in most horror films, not just HIDE AND SEEK, which handled the situation well enough...

ROBERT DE NIRO can do anything. De Niro is the consumate actor from RAGING BULL to THE GODFATHER To MIDNIGHT RUN (a personal favorite) to HIDE AND SEEK. There is just a level of ability that mere mortals -or at least your ordinary actor -just does not possess and can probably only hope to achieve.

Which brings me to my observation of the day: I watched HIDE AND SEEK just a few minutes ago....well, sorta. It was really just on as background noise and I watched the movie from 30 minutes...

I watched a couple of award shows this weekend. There was the Spirit Awards on IFC. Two hours with no commercials! And the Oscars on Sunday night. I never watch E! Entertainment Television because the people holding the microphones ask the celebrities such dumbassed questions I can't enjoy viewing it. Nice dresses though. I thought everyone decided to go 'old hollywood' glamour which is kind of nice.

Anyway, the Spirit Awards. I knew that alot of the films might be ones that I hadn't...
