- My name is James Widdicombe. I started directing at age 11 when my cousin just picked up a camera and started filming, I thought it was funny and just started to do things on my own. Since then I have made over 170 videos and most of them are on YouTube, most of them aren't all that special. Through all of that work I have taught myself how to edit so I am not only a director/writer but also an editor. Although I have learned a lot I still have to learn more and have not yet made that one film that I'm proud of and would like everyone to see. I have been reading some great stuff here on indietalk for a long time but only occasionally post. I'm looking to learn the most that I can in order to make the best films I can make and also to share what I have learned.
