There's some frames of the fight between yourself and the squirrel where I couldn't help but think of Bruce Campbell in Evil Dead II fighting against his possessed hand :D

I liked it. Do more :)
 
Thanks! That scene may have had some effect on me subconsciously when I was coming up with this.


And I was thinking about doing like "Part 2, Part 3 etc." to this idea.
 
I always find the 'actor fighting against themselves or against themselves while wielding the thing that's attacking them' funny so it was really well done in that department too.
 
Nice work! Although the voice sounded a bit artificial and the opening bit didn't really seem necessary. You could have started with the flashback, getting straight into the action. But aside from that, awesome job! Great concept and good execution.
 
D@mn good. I just think the squirrel did too much talking about what he was going to do before he did it. In the real world a potential victim would turn the tables on someone who broadcast their intentions more quickly.

Funny. I thought the light and color was great. I also think the sound was really good. Excellent puppetry; the squirrel seemed animate.

You should teach H44 how to shoot a short by himself with a camera turned on the two of you, then show that. :yes:
 
You can shoot a short pretty much all by your big boy self.
Teach H44 that it CAN BE DONE.
Now, while you're teaching him set up your camcorder to record this... "event."
Post that!

Of course, if you have to explain the joke it ceases to have any humor to it, so... :D

Doesn't he live in Canada or something? I think he'd spend just as much on gas to get to Ohio as he could for a filmmaking class.

Plus, his threads have gotten to a point where I just keep scrolling if I see he's posted something, so I dunno what he's been up to lately. I think he's acting in or producing a movie that he doesn't want to, but other than that...


All he needs to do is do them repeatedly until he gets good. Then one day he'll appreciate having a crew.
 
How did you get the trashcan to shake @ 1:32? Was someone in it?

What kind of camera did you use and what editing program did you use? How did you record the sound?
