watch Mikes BIke Story (new poptent ad)

Nice work. Has a nice aesthetic. If you're looking for constructive critiques, I think I would try to use shorter faster sound-bites, and cut them together at a more rapid pace. For me, the pacing, especially for a commercial, is a bit lagging.
 
Beautiful bike! Nice concept, looks wonderful, I think you captured the message perfectly, do agree about the pacing though.
 
Word! I like that one too! Better timing as well, still looks beautiful as well! Makes me want to get a bike...
 
Yeah, I saw both these works on Poptent. I like them. I like Dodi's best, but I think you have a better shot with Mike's considering the assignment summary's demographic. Good Luck, Wheat!
 
They look great and I love the docu/story style of it. But I'll agree they ran way too long for me. Especially for a commercial.

I could see you rocking a real documentary at some point, wheat :)

Phil, That is so cool, you'll have to come out for the live bands, that place gets jumping I tell you.

Im thinking of doing a short that centers around his cafe\bar and some of the characters Iv met seen, or imagined there.

Alternatively maybe shoot a music vid there...
 
Either or, I'd be down to be involved/help out! I've joined them on facebook n hope to be able to make it out to they're next party, seems like it's a real good time! I think your right now the characters and would be honered to be a part of what ever you plan to do! Thanks again for introducing me to a wonderful world that was always right over the hill!

hooking up with poptent is like having a really lousy drug connection. (not that I would know about that, but I read a lot) They give you JUST enough to keep you hooked, but you can never really depend on them for a fix when you NEED it... and like a cheap drug, I vow yet again, to not pick up another poptent assignment.. but ironically, I know that Ill be back hitting the poptent pipe before too long...
