We're planning on shooting in April 2011, and the film won't be done until the end of the summer with full post production, sound, and color correction, etc.

I believe that was the plan the whole time. The short being a tool to secure funding. And if I remember correctly, the short is actually the beginning of the feature?

Yup, CF nailed it. That has ALWAYS been the intent. I wrote the feature length script before HORRORS OF WAR with a novelist/screenwriter named Chris Gavaler. I revised it a few times and eventually made the first 5 pages as the short film, with the intent being that I would use it to show investors what the film itself would look like.

Yes. We're going to shoot at 1 location and build a set for the other.

I'm meeting with my first movie star tomorrow night with script in hand to try to get them for the film. No names can be disclosed at this time, but I think it rocks that I get to meet one of my childhood heroes in person.

I love interns.... as my videos show, I know how to treat them right.

i'm with avsb on this. sonnyboo should make a movie about hazing 4-5 interns at once.

That was mad funny. Now I'm going to check out the first one. Hey sonnyboo can you share a bit more about the set you'll be building? Not necessarily the details of the design specs (that would be nice but that's behind the scenes type stuff, right?) but more so the process behind it and the type of people you have working on it. Is it on a stage or on site somewhere? I can only imagine how expensive that undertaking might be but the control gained has to be worth every penny. Good luck on the feature and looking forward to the intern adventures.
