I recently completed my first feature-length screenplay and am now seeking a filmmaker interested in taking on the project. The script is 92 pages in length and is titled SECOND LIFE, a drama with a hint of comedy. The screenplay is copyright protected and registered with WGA.

Synopsis: Jason is a recovering alcoholic. After losing his wife, he struggles to make a better life for himself. He meets a kindred spirit and falls in love, but tragedy once again threatens to destroy his second chance in life.

I would love the film to be made locally (Saint Louis) but realize the market here is thin. So, I am putting SECOND LIFE out there to any producer and/or director that may be interested in this project. For more info, or to arrange a reading, please reply to this post.

I have been doing live sound for theatrical performances for many years, including sound effects recording for playback during performance. I own a small project studio where I can record sound effects, voice-over, as well and some remote equipment for location recording. I have recently completed my first job as boom pole op and mixer for an informercial.

I am interested in delving deeper into location sound recording, foley, and mixing and looking for volunteer projects to develop this craft. I have a lot of experience in live sound and recording, but just cutting my teeth on location sound. I am willing to provide the equipment and my labor freely for the right project. I can be reached at:

Hi, this is kind of weird but here goes...

I'm working on a short film as part of my "creative portfolio" to send to several limited access film schools. I have the script and equipment and entire cast except one character (the second lead). Today I happened to be at the supermarket and noticed an employee who looks EXACTLY how I've always pictured my second lead. I wanted to approach him and ask him if he'd be up for it but I felt a bit daft and thought it would be so awkward to approach a stranger and be like, "Hey, do you want to be in a movie?", especially while they're working. But I'd hate to cast the wrong person and later think, "Man, I should have gotten the other guy." I'm curious, have any of you approached random people and asked them to be in your films? If so, how did you do it and did it work?

I want to start writing a screenplay. I have a story and a lot of ideas to go with it. It is going to be based in many different small towns. I want them all to be real places, preferably very old small towns. They don't necessarily need to be very important places, but ones that have a considerably rich/deep history; some place I could research. Unfortunately I don't know of many interesting small towns, so I'm hoping some of you do. Specifically I'm looking for communities that have little family owned shops, deli's, bars, gas stations, things like that. They can be cool or creepy or whatever. I'm very open minded. They can be anywhere in the Continental US. Consider whether or not they may be open to allowing me or someone to film there, although that is not completely necessary.

If you know of anywhere that is even close to what I described, please send pictures of your town showing me as much of the place as possible. Or if there are any websites that already contain said information, please send me the link. Please also include some information on the town.

Again I'm very open minded, I would just like as many options as possible.

But, THE MORE REMOTE AND OBSCURE, THE BETTER!!

Please email suggestions to kgasser2@kent.edu

Thank you very much!
